Cuesta Partners is looking for a Data Visualization Specialist in Latin America with an interest in consulting, to work with our broad base of clients on various engagements, delivering data environments quickly using modern technologies and best practices, while mentoring others.

As a member of our data practice, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and build various green field areas, making a lasting impact on our clients’ data landscape. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will play a key role in establishing technology best practices to deliver analytical insights for customers in strategic domains. Your mission will be to deliver end-to-end data solutions, leveraging your expertise to unlock valuable insights and drive actionable decisions. As the driving force behind the acquisition and transformation of data sets, your contribution will be key to unlocking analytics insights from our client’s data.

You will ensure that data models are reusable, data pipelines are scalable, and data visualizations are impactful. Your expertise in choosing, developing and optimizing data technology environments will be instrumental in driving our data-driven initiatives forward. This role ensures that development follows standards, specifications, controls, audits, and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness. While the role is remote, occasional though infrequent travel to the United States may be required for some critical sessions.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Proven experience as a Data Visualization Specialist, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on Power BI
• Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX expressions, custom visuals, and Power Query transformations
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles, user experience design, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective visual solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and presenting complex ideas concisely
• Experience with other data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, etc.) is a plus
• Knowledge of data manipulation, data cleansing, and data transformation techniques
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and SQL is advantageous
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities

What You’ll Do

• Utilize Power BI to design, develop, and maintain interactive and intuitive dashboards that showcase data trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Integrate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
• Implement best practices for data visualization, including effective use of charts, graphs, and other visual elements to enhance data storytelling
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data visualization templates, standards, and guidelines
• Explore innovative techniques and tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of data visualization processes
• Collaborate with the broader team to identify opportunities for automation and optimization of data visualization workflows
• Collaborate closely with engagement teams and clients to understand data requirements, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Translate complex data into meaningful and visually compelling dashboards that provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, enabling clear understanding and appreciation of data insights
