People Operations Lead

About the Role:

You’ll lead core people processes that support a high-performing, fully remote team—spanning onboarding, leveling, compensation planning, employee experience, learning and development, and compliance. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a builder environment and enjoys crafting scalable, equitable people systems that align with our culture and values.

You’ll also work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring transitions smoothly into long-term employee success.

What You’ll Own:

Core People Operations

  • Enhance and lead onboarding programs that create a best-in-class employee experience and accelerate ramp-up.
  • Own and evolve our performance management cycles (quarterly and annual)—including goal setting, feedback, review calibration, ratings, and post-review action planning.
  • Maintain and scale leveling frameworks and promotion processes that support clarity and mobility.
  • Manage compensation bands, pay-for-performance practices, and ensure equitable pay decisions.
  • Support bonus and merit planning by aligning performance, compensation, and growth opportunities.
  • Lead core HR systems (e.g., Rippling, SharePoint), ensuring streamlined processes and clean data.
  • Draft and update policies and handle employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance across U.S., Canada, and LATAM jurisdictions (with support from vendors/advisors).
  • Manage employee benefits, open enrollment, broker relations, etc.
  • Build regular feedback loops and surveys to capture employee sentiment and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership on headcount planning, workforce structure, and org effectiveness.
  • Contribute to DEI by embedding inclusive and equitable practices into every people process.

Learning & Development

  • Work closely with the leaders to identify development needs based on performance trends and feedback themes.
  • Manage L&D platforms or stipends; support self-directed and manager-led development.
  • Build company specific L+D programs to enable manager and team member capability and internal mobility.
  • Partner with leaders on skill-building initiatives that align to team and company goals.

You Might Be a Fit If You Have:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in people operations, preferably in consulting, professional services, or project-based firms.
  • A track record of building frameworks and processes from the ground up.
  • Strong knowledge of leveling, compensation structures, and performance management.
  • Clear communication, project management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Hands-on experience using HR systems like Rippling, SharePoint, or similar.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fully remote, growth-oriented environment.

Bonus:

  • Experience supporting international or LATAM-based teams across HR or compliance.
